Hi All,
I've just finished teaching the fourth day of a week-long seminar in a
retreat center outside the German city of Kiel.
The seminar is taking place in an 18th century castle. The first photo
below is the front of the castle, and the second photo is the back yard.
The seminar is being led by a German theater director. It is a
production of some scenes from Hamlet, and the focus of the theater
work is a study of the nature of revenge. The participants are
Egyptian and Palestinian actors. Next week a group of Israelis will go
through the same program.
My role in the seminar is to teach body awareness and centering to the
actors, and my contribution comes out of the combination of Aikido and
Being In Movement® body awareness training. I am helping the actors
gain a clear experience of how feelings of revenge weaken the muscles
and posture -- and how kindness strengthens the muscles and improves
balance.
